Wilton Pride and Library Announce "Wilton Pride Be You Festival" on June 1st

Wilton Pride, in partnership with Wilton Library, is delighted to announce the return of the annual Wilton Pride Be You Festival on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Town Green.

Building on the success of previous years, this year’s festival will feature a vibrant array of activities, including music, live mural painting, performing arts, exhibits, food, drinks, and much more, all celebrating community collaboration and belonging through partnerships with numerous local businesses and organizations.

Community Invited to Help Paint Pride Crosswalks Chosen as Winning Submissions

Wilton Pride organizers are inviting the community to help install the Pride Crosswalks chosen as winning submissions.

Installations will take place at the Wilton Library on Saturday-Sunday, May 17-18 at 5:30 p.m., and at the Wilton Family YMCA on Saturday-Sunday, May 23-24 at 6 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to wear clothes they don’t mind getting paint on.

Wilton Pride and Wilton Chamber of Commerce to Bring Back ‘Adopt-a-Shop’ Program for Year 3

Wilton Pride and the Wilton Chamber of Commerce have set plans for this year’s Pride Adopt-A-Shop program. Now in its third year, the initiative is designed to showcase support for the LGBTQ+ community in local businesses, in what organizers said is a way of “fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere throughout Wilton to celebrate Pride Month in June 2025.”

Wilton Pride and Wilton Library to Host “Come Out & Run 5K” in September

Wilton Pride and Wilton Library announced they will co-host the inaugural Come Out and Run 5K on Sunday, Sept. 15, in Wilton, in order to “celebrate pride, diversity, inclusivity, and the spirit of unity in honor of National Coming Out Day in October,” according to a press release from both organizations.

Positive Community Response to Rainbow Pride Crosswalks for Wilton Library and YMCA, for Leading on Inclusivity

This year was the first one that Wilton Pride collaborated with the Riverbrook Regional/Wilton YMCA and Wilton Library to create rainbow-painted crosswalks at their locations during Pride Month. Officials at the library and the YMCA said response from the community was overwhelmingly positive and they agreed that taking the lead on the painted installations sent a message of inclusivity and safety for all in the community — key steps that aligned with both organizations’ missions.
