Wilton Pride, in partnership with Wilton Library, is delighted to announce the return of the annual Wilton Pride Be You Festival on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Town Green.

Building on the success of previous years, this year’s festival will feature a vibrant array of activities, including music, live mural painting, performing arts, exhibits, food, drinks, and much more, all celebrating community collaboration and belonging through partnerships with numerous local businesses and organizations.

Wilton Pride organizers are inviting the community to help install the Pride Crosswalks chosen as winning submissions.

Installations will take place at the Wilton Library on Saturday-Sunday, May 17-18 at 5:30 p.m., and at the Wilton Family YMCA on Saturday-Sunday, May 23-24 at 6 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to wear clothes they don’t mind getting paint on.

Wilton Pride and the Wilton Chamber of Commerce have set plans for this year’s Pride Adopt-A-Shop program. Now in its third year, the initiative is designed to showcase support for the LGBTQ+ community in local businesses, in what organizers said is a way of “fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere throughout Wilton to celebrate Pride Month in June 2025.”

The Riverbrook Regional YMCA and Wilton Library have announced a call for artists to design and paint crosswalks in a way that organizers have described as “vibrant, inclusive … in honor of Pride.” A panel of judges will select one design from all submissions.

Thankfully there was no rain for the runners and walkers participating in Wilton’s first Come Out and Run 5K on Sunday, Sept. 15. There were, however, a multitude of rainbows as the event, hosted by Wilton Pride and Wilton Library, was a celebration of support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Wilton Pride and Wilton Library announced they will co-host the inaugural Come Out and Run 5K on Sunday, Sept. 15, in Wilton, in order to “celebrate pride, diversity, inclusivity, and the spirit of unity in honor of National Coming Out Day in October,” according to a press release from both organizations.

This year was the first one that Wilton Pride collaborated with the Riverbrook Regional/Wilton YMCA and Wilton Library to create rainbow-painted crosswalks at their locations during Pride Month. Officials at the library and the YMCA said response from the community was overwhelmingly positive and they agreed that taking the lead on the painted installations sent a message of inclusivity and safety for all in the community — key steps that aligned with both organizations’ missions.

Wilton Library and the Riverbrook Regional/Wilton YMCA aren’t just talking the talk when it comes to supporting Wilton’s LGBTQ+ community — the two organizations are literally walking the walk, putting their allyship into action with rainbow crosswalks painted for June’s Pride Month.

Wilton Pride and Wilton Library are inviting the Wilton community to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and Pride at the Second Annual “Be You” Wilton Pride Festival.

Raising what it hopes will be an inclusive flag of acceptance, the first-ever Wilton Pride Festival brought members of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies together Saturday.

With the goal of fostering an inclusive environment based on acceptance and safety for all, Wilton Pride held its first official Wilton Pride Festival Saturday, June 10, on the Town Green.

Wilton has changed quite a bit in the past year — due to local nonprofit Wilton Pride, it’s about to change even more. On Saturday, June 10, the organization will team with Wilton Library to hold the town’s first-ever Pride Festival with events at the library and on the Town Green, including an opening flag-raising ceremony.
